Improve your overall ability in speaking, reading, listening and writing. Develop your understanding of English grammar and pronunciation, and expand your range of vocabulary.
We teach adult students, 16 years of age and over, at a variety of levels, from Elementary to Advanced. General English courses build on each other, so you can start at the level best suited to your ability and work your way up.
Concentrate on the alphabet, numbers and everyday vocabulary. Basic grammar is introduced along with reading and writing skills, plus a range of listening activities.
There is one Beginner level.
Concentrate on the basic ability to communicate in English in a limited range of simple everyday situations. Write and understand short, simple texts.

There are three Intermediate levels.

There are three Upper Intermediate levels.
Develop your ability to communicate independently with more confidence and fluency. Focus on extending and developing all four skills and consolidating your grammar and vocabulary.

There are two Pre-Advanced levels.
(4 modular courses) Become more flexible and confident at communicating in work, study and social situations. Broaden your knowledge of idiomatic and colloquial language. Improve your ability to read, write and speak long and complex texts. Take these four modular course in any order.
Our communicative approach ensures that all students, even beginners, take an active part in lessons. We use internationally-acclaimed textbooks as well as supplementary material to suit the individual needs of students. In addition, teachers use computers, video and audio materials to help you in your learning. Our modern classrooms and computer room provide some of the best learning facilities in Sri Lanka.
We assess students on participation, continuous speaking performance, written 'portfolio task', and either through a grammar test, a writing test, or speaking task. There are no formal examinations, but you must attend at least 70% of the course and show satisfactory progress in your work portfolio to get a certificate of success.
