HOW CAN THE BRITISH COUNCIL HELP ME PREPARE?

we have a wide range of past papers for sale in booklets or to photocopy. Either come to our office or email your order as below:
       - E-mail to info.lk@britishcouncil.org
       - Include your name, NIC / passport number, phone number,
         mobile phone number
       - Specify the papers you need (Edexcel or Cambridge, O-level/
         A-level/etc, Year and Session, Subject and Paper)
       - We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours
       - The papers will be ready within 24 hours unless we specify
         otherwise in our acknowledgement (for example if the order
         is large). You must pick up within 7 days of our acknowledgement
         and pay for the items when you pick up.

LATE ENTRY FEES
If you fail to submit your application before the deadlines set by the British Council you will be subjected to a Late Entry Fee.

Official Late entry deadlines are:

Applications are considered for refunding as follows:

Stage 2 This service is available only during the exam period. Refunds will be given on medical grounds when applied for with supporting evidence (eg, doctor’s note). Please note that all medical refunds should be approved by Edexcel International. Upon the approval British Council will be issuing the refund, less an administrative fee of Rs 2,000/-.

YOUR STATEMENT OF ENTRY AND TIMETABLES
The statement of entry for IGCSE and GCE OL, AS and AL should reach you by 10 October and 13 December 2009 respectively. If they do not reach you by this date please contact us on (011) 4521521 or email info.lk@britishcouncil.org.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS

All fees for the November 2009 and January 2010 sessions are payable in Sri Lankan Rupees
Fees may be paid in cash or by cheque in favour of 'British Council'
You can also make a direct bank transfer to the following account (please submit the receipt at the time of registration)

HANDOVER OF ENTRY FORM AND IDENTIFICATION
Please submit your application form with the following items:

4 self-addressed envelopes (7”x 10” - B5) for posting your entry form and results sheet. Please write your name and address clearly in block letters on the right hand side of the envelope
2 passport-size photographs
a valid proof of identity (NIC, Passport or Postal ID)

PROVISIONAL ENTRIES
Candidates who have applied for 'Enquiry About Results' service following the May/June 2009 exam session and have not received a response from Edexcel International by the entry closing deadline and wish to apply for January 2010 on the same subjects/units which sent in for 'Enquiry About Results' can apply on a Provisional basis. Mark on the application `P’ for Provisional, by each subject - e.g. (P) History

Please inform the British Council as soon as you receive a response regarding 'Enquiry About Results' from Edexcel to confirm your sitting in January 2010 or withdrawal, on or before 15 October 2009.
