This policy applies to all candidates whether individually registered or registered via a school.

If a candidate gives a written notice of withdrawal on medical grounds during the examination period, the refund request must be accompanied by a statement from a medical practitioner to the effect that the candidate was unable to sit the examination(s). Such refunds need to be approved by the examinations board. Upon approval, British Council will issue the refund less an administrative fee of Rs 3,000/- |

Please note it will take approximately three months from the local closing date to process the approved refund. Refund payments are made by cheque or bank transfer, please note cash refunds are not possible. |

No refunds will be allowed for GCE practicals |

Fill in the British Council refund claim form. |
 |
 |

 |
Attach a copy of the payment receipt. If the receipt is issued to the school then please obtain a letter from the school stating that school is authorising the candidate to obtain the refund. |

Attach a copy of the statement of entry |
