Refunds Policy and Procedures - University of Cambridge GCE exams

Please note applications are considered for refunding:

Stage Procedures Deadline
Stage 1 Refunds will be given less an admin fee of Rs 2,000/- per subject.
Processing period: Please note it will take approximately two months from the local closing date to process the refunds.

Please note it will take approximately two months from the local closing date to process the approved refund. Payment is made by cheque or bank transfer.
Stage 2

This service is available only during the exam period. Refunds will be given on medical grounds when applied for with supporting evidence (eg, doctor’s note). Please note that all medical refunds should be approved by the examination board. Upon the approval British Council will be issuing the refund, less an administrative fee of Rs. 2,500/- per subject.
(A list of approved or acceptable hospitals and/or medical practitioners whose medical certificates are acceptable to British Council will be published on our website.)

From  6 May to 19 June 2013

Please note it will take approximately three months from the local closing date to process the approved refund. Refund payments are made by cheque or bank transfer, please note cash refunds are not possible.
No refunds will be allowed for GCE practicals.



PROCEDURE

1. Fill in the British Council refund claim form.
2. Private candidates: attach a copy of the payment receipt.
School candidates: If the receipt is issued to the school then please obtain a letter from the school stating that school is authorising the candidate to obtain the refund and also stating the receipt numbers of the bulk payment made to the British Council.
3. Attach a copy of the statement of entry
4. Attach the medical report
