When you register for your exam at the British Council sign up for our mock writing test email service. Collect the sample question from our reception, pay the fee of Rs.1,200, write your answer to the sample question and email to us. One of our chief examiners will correct your work and comment on what you need to do to improve your mark.

In Colombo the written tests are held at Galadari Hotel, Colombo 1 and the speaking tests at the British Council.
In Kandy the written tests are held at Hotel Mahaweli Reach (35, P B A Weerakoon Mawatha, Kandy) and the speaking tests at the British Council.

if you notify us more than five weeks before your test date, you will get a full refund minus an administrative charge of Rs.2,000/- |

if you notify us less than five weeks before your test date you will forfeit the whole test fee, except in certain exceptional cases. |

|
results are available on the 13th day following the written test (i.e. a Friday if it was a Saturday exam). You can check your result online by going to http://ielts-results.britishcouncil.org. We will send your Test Report Form to you by registered post. |
