CREATIVE WRITING COURSE

WHAT IS CREATIVE WRITING COURSE?
Creative Writing Course is a new exploration of English we have created for young graduates and professionals. It is a series of ten progressive seminars for all those who wish to express themselves clearly in English and gain more confidence in sharing their writings with others. You can enjoy working with imaginative people and at the same time acquire the skills which will help you to set out on a career in the creative industries, media or teaching.

After attending at least five seminars of your choice, you will be awarded a certificate of attendance. Note that the number of hours of active participation in the course will appear in your certificate and will depend on how many seminars you attend. You will also be invited to have your work published on our website. That is not all – we have a special treat for the most persistent explorers who decide to make all ten voyages with us. Do not miss the chance to work under extremely friendly conditions!

WHAT WILL BE EXPLORED?
Every two weeks we set sail for the mysterious world of imaginative writing in English. We approach poetry, prose and other written forms in new and original ways. The seminars are topical so that you can decide which one to attend depending on your preferences. Each activity is designed to refresh your appreciation of literature and encourage you to develop a personal style. We would like to know what your creative writing needs are so please fill in the questionnaire.

WHO IS OUR CAPTAIN?
James Sutherland-Smith was born in Aberdeen in 1948 and was educated at Leeds University. He is currently working as the Manager of PEP in SaM.  In his other life he is a poet. James has published four full collections of poems and has been a frequent prizewinner in poetry competitions. In 1978 he received an Eric Gregory Award. He set up the first Creative Writing Course in English language in Central Europe, using writers from Britain and Ireland.
