5th Conference on Social Inclusion and Education on Performing Arts
In the fifth edition of this yearly conference the aim is to examine the present situation in the field of social inclusion in a number of countries, with a special focus on financing and how this subject is dealt with in mainstream education. Amongst the international speakers, we have three British guests:
Selina Busby, permanent lecturer and director of the course Applied theatre in the London University Central School of Speech and Drama, whose main research areas include theatre in prisons, youth theatre and British theatre in the 1990s.
Liselle Terret, lecturer at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Institute of Education in London, who explores good practice in theatre projects for and with participants who are marginalised from society. Both shall participate in a joint presentation called “You can behave badly but without making too much noise: attribution of power or contention in the applied practice of the arts.”“
Jo Verrent, consultant and organiser of different events which seek to reconsider the perception on diversity, will give a conference called “What are you looking at ….?”
