The British Council teaches English at our centres across Spain. Our main recruitment exercise takes place around April every year for our summer courses and the next academic year.  

If you want to work as an English teacher at the British Council you must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • a first degree and
  • recognised teaching qualifications and
  • at least 2 years of experience of teaching English and
  • be a native speaker of English or have the equivalent fluency.
