For the fifth year running Valladolid becomes picture book capital of the world with international illustrators, agents and publishers converging on the town to share their passion for illustration and children's books

This year, the programme includes workshops and conference events, exhibitions, competitions such as the Plum Pudding Competition and a networking event for publishers and illustrators, the Mesas de Editores.

Three artistas or profesionals from the UK will participate in this edition of IlustraTour. Illustrator Alexis Deacon will give a talk as well a workshop on Building a Story from Pictures. Mark Mills from the Plum Pudding Illustration Agency will take part in a masterclass in addition to promoting the Plum Pudding Competition. Finally, Deirdre McDermott, of publisher’s Walker Books, will take part in the publisher’s sessions.
