Learning Support
We support your learning both inside and outside the classroom. We offer:
- parent-teacher meetings for parents of young learners
- a library service for all our students
- a learning support tutor
- Possibility of attending a series of external talks to complete the preparation for external examinations and practice for the oral exam.
Counselling
You’ll benefit from one-to-one counselling sessions with your teacher. They’re your chance to discuss your progress and how well the course is meeting your needs.
Meetings for parents – Young Learners courses
We run a programme of termly meetings for parents whose children attend our Young Learners courses. Meetings take place during Semana Blanca, and cover a range of topics. We also hold informal sessions run by our head of studies and coordinators where parents can learn more about us and our approach to teaching.
We look forward to welcoming you to a one-to-one meeting with your child’s teacher during Semana Blanca. During the meeting, you will find out about your child’s progress. If you would prefer to meet the teacher at another time, please send an email to: bilbao@britishcouncil.es or call 944763650.
Library
The British Council Bilbao library is for students of the Bilbao teaching centre. It provides a study area, complete with Internet access, as well as a lending service. Students can borrow a range of graded readers, original fiction and DVDs.
Students automatically become members on registering for a course.
