Before you register: taking a level test

You don’t need to book your level test, just visit us during opening hours.

To make sure your course is at the right level for you, you’ll need to take the level test before registering for a course. The test assesses your spoken and written English and takes an hour at most. You must do the test if:

  • you’ve not studied with us before or
  • you haven’t done any study with us for at least six months.

You’ll get your result shortly after completing the test; we’ll then show you which courses you can take – you’ll be able to register during the registration period shown below. If you have passed the FCE, CAE or CPE in the last six months, you don't need to take the level test, but please bring your certificate when you register.

You can join a class at any time if there is a place available.
