British Council Spain
Science and Society

The British Council is committed to democracy, accountability and universal human rights and works to provide a mutually beneficial basis for greater understanding between people in the UK, Spain and the rest of Europe and to contribute to a fairer, safer and more prosperous world. In the next few years the challenges for the World include climate change, globalisation, democracy, migration, diversity and access to justice and these are areas where we will concentrate our efforts.

Our work in science will provide a common platform for collaboration and discussion. We want to demonstrate that science is a central driver for social and cultural change, and therefore central to cultural relations.

We aim to reflect the plurality of views in the UK about creativity and innovation.
