ARE THE CLASSES WITH A TEACHER OR WITH A COMPUTER?
The classes are taught by a teacher who will use audiovisual means such as DVD, and computers, among other things, as part of the teaching method. As a complement to the classes, and included in the course fees, you can visit our library, where you will find computers, internet, films, books and magazines at your disposal.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE THERE PER CLASS?
This depends on the timetable and course. The maximum number of students per class is, except under special circumstances, 12 for the conversation courses and 14 for the rest of courses.
ARE THE TEACHERS NATIVE SPEAKERS?
Yes. All our teachers are highly qualified native speakers with a wide range of teaching experience.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ENROL?
Six years old (or five in the case of those students who register during the first term and are going to be six by December).
ARE THERE MANY YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE CLASS?
The classes we offer are divided into four categories: Primary 6 – 10 years old, Junior 11 - 14 years old, Seniors 15 – 17 years old, Adults aged 18 and over. So, within any group, a class could have students of different ages.
IF I IMPROVE A LOT DURING THE TERM, CAN I GO UP A LEVEL?
Although we always try to make sure all groups have a similar level, there are sometimes exceptional cases. Your teacher will closely observe your progress and will tell you if he or she decides you should change levels. If you have any queries about this, you should ask your teacher.
ONCE I HAVE DONE THE LEVEL TEST, AM I GUARANTEED A PLACE?
Doing a level test does not reserve you a place. We can only guarantee you this once you have paid the course fees.
HOW SHALL I PAY?

For Young Learners courses, you pay the first time by card or cheque, and the following times, by Direct Debit. For Adults courses, you pay by card or cheque. We regret we cannot accept cash payments or bank transfers.

CAN I PAY BY INSTALMENTS?
You pay in full for each term or summer course.
DO THE FEES INCLUDE VAT?
The fees advertised are the total price. British Council courses are exempt from VAT.
ARE THE CAMBRIDGE EXAMS FEES INCLUDED IN THE COURSE FEE?
No. The payment for these exams is separate and it is very important that you make sure you have enrolled for the course and for the corresponding exam.
If I choose now a timetable, can I change it later?
Yes. Subject to availability, you can change your class time from one term to the other or mid-term.
I HAVE STUDIED AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL IN ANOTHER CITY. DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE FIRST REGISTRATION CHARGE?
No. Old students from any British Council centre are exempt from this charge.
IF I CAN'T ATTEND CLASS, CAN I CANCEL THE REGISTRATION?
The cancellation of an enrolment is only possible within five working days (two days in the case of the summer courses) of the first class corresponding to each student. The course fee will be reimbursed less the registration fee and the proportional amount for classes given.
ARE THE COURSE BOOKS INCLUDED IN THE FEES?
Although your teacher will give you lots of material during the course, you will need to buy a course book separately. We recommend you wait until your first lesson when your teacher will tell you which course book to buy.
WHERE CAN I BUY THE COURSE BOOKS?
There are many bookshops in Valencia where you can buy them. One is Eurollibres, c/ Dr. Oloriz, 5 (next to the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas). Furthermore, at the beginning of the first and second terms and the July course, Eurollibres bookshop will have a stand in our centres so that you can buy your course books when you come to class.
I AM ENROLLED IN THE THIRD TERM (APRIL TO JUNE) OR IN A SUMMER INTENSIVE COURSE. UNTIL WHEN CAN I USE THE LIBRARY?
Until the end of September.
Can I pay by Direct Debit?
You can in the case of Young Learners courses.
