RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS

The British Council offers a variety of resources for different teaching contexts.  You’ll find lots of pages here whether you are an experienced teacher looking for materials and ideas for your classes or wanting to keep up to date with methodologies or you are a novice teacher looking for practical tips.  You will also find a new lesson plan every week as well as an article on ELT methodology and practice.

Locally we organise a series of talks for teachers and give information about seminars, conferences and events.  Why don’t you bookmark the “talks for teachers” page and come back regularly to find out about our latest talks?

We aim to build links with the local ELT community and have been working together with teachers in the area for over 20 years.  Our Teacher Development Unit regularly provides courses for teachers on different aspects of language and methodology.
