English Language Exams with Cambridge ESOL
Institutions and corporations worldwide consider UK language certificates as the most reliable evidence of English proficiency for University entrance and personnel selection purposes.

In Spain, the most popular are the Cambridge Main Suite of English examinations. There are five certificates, from beginner to advanced levels, adjusted to the ALTE and Council of Europe frameworks.

 KEY ENGLISH TEST (KET)
Learners are expected to have developed many of the basic linguistic ‘survival skills’ needed to interact socially or at work in an English-speaking environment. Find out more.

PRELIMINARY ENGLISH TEST (PET)
A pass at this level indicates that the student has developed the skills to cope in largely predictable social and work situations in an English-speaking environment.

 FIRST CERTIFICATE IN ENGLISH (FCE)
At this level learners are expected to be able to work or study in an English-speaking environment and cope easily as a tourist in an English-speaking country.

CERTIFICATE IN ADVANCED ENGLISH (CAE)
At this level learners are expected to cope in most situations that would arise in an English speaking country, socially, professionally and in higher education.

 CERTIFICATE OF PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH (CPE)
At this stage, learners are approaching a standard of English similar to that of an educated native speaker, and they are expected to cope in most situations in an English-speaking environment.
