Oriol Milà Although I am still at high school, English has been useful to me for many reasons. First of all, being able to speak English fluently has given me the opportunity to do classes such as mathematics in English. Secondly, it has been useful when looking for information I could not find in my own language. Last but not least, having a good level of English will give me the chance of going to study abroad in the future.
Joan Roca: I think learning English is helping me to make progress in my professional life. Before I left university I started an English course in the British Council. Now I’m working in a multinational company and I’m able to write reports fluently and answer the phone in English without a problem. For sure, I have to learn a lot of vocabulary and other important things. Let me explain a good example. Last week I had a meeting with three English men. I realised that I had been speaking with them and answering their comments easily and fluently. To sum up, learning English isn’t a waste of time. From my point of view, I think learning English makes you feel good about yourself.
Christina Thiele I like setting myself goals, small- or medium-sized aims I can reach within a year or less. This year’s goal is passing the CAE exams. But it is not only that. Learning English enables me to much more things: One of my dreams is travelling on my own to New Zealand and Australia. With a good level of English it is becoming a much more realistic dream now. Another advantage is that I got much more organised in studying languages in general. I hope I can make good use of it because I just started to learn another language.
Fernando Santodomingo Having a prestigious certificate in English has helped me, especially in my professional life. Obtaining an English qualification that is well-known by most of the important national and international companies, not only improves your candidature when you are applying for a job, but also makes it much easier for you to prove your spoken and written level in any screening process. Cambridge’s Certificates in English are constantly demanded by employers, universities and even by the Spanish Public Administration when setting the English level required for a vacancy, an international university course or when deciding who should be awarded a scholarship.
Congratulations!
