"Teaching Matters": 6th Annual British Council ELT Teachers' Conference

This year the British Council in Madrid celebrates its 6th annual conference. We would like to send out an invitation to all teachers to come along and take part!  The conference is chance to share and learn from the experiences of colleagues from all sectors: adults, young learners, bilingual schools, primary and secondary.  The practical workshops are 50 minutes each and have an emphasis on the new and innovative!
Last year's conference covered areas such as Adapting Cousebooks for Drama, Using the Interactive Phonemic Chart, Classroom Management for Teens and Adults, Online Social Networking and more!
Our full programme will be available in September and remember attendance is free and includes coffee break and prize draw!

"Blending Tradition with Innovation"
32nd Annual TESOL-SPAIN Convention

The convention theme for 2009, Blending Tradition with Innovation, aims to re-explore the tried and true while considering new activities to use in teaching. Reflection and exploration by teachers, materials writers, and curriculum developers can be a powerful vehicle for professional development. Areas of interest include teacher training, methodology, curriculum design, materials development, classroom practice, testing and evaluation, teacher interaction, CLIL, and of course information technology.
