"Teaching Matters": 6th Annual British Council ELT Teachers' Conference

This year the British Council in Madrid celebrates its 6th annual conference. We would like to send out an invitation to all teachers to come along and take part!  The conference is chance to share and learn from the experiences of colleagues from all sectors: adults, young learners, bilingual schools, primary and secondary. The practical workshops are 50 minutes each and have an emphasis on the new and innovative!
Last year's conference covered areas such as Adapting Cousebooks for Drama, Using the Interactive Phonemic Chart, Classroom Management for Teens and Adults, Online Social Networking and more!
Attendance is free and includes coffee break and prize draw!

British Council Barcelona 5th ELT Teachers' Conference

This year the British Council in Barcelona celebrates its 5th annual conference. We would like to send out an invitation to all teachers to come along and take part!  The conference is a chance to share and learn from the experiences of colleagues from all sectors: adults, young learners, primary and secondary. The workshops are 50 minutes each and have an emphasis on practical ideas for teaching!

Last year's conference covered areas such as What to do with the readings in your course book, Games and Activities for YLs, Using flashcards with primary students, The Road to Production: the importance of the receptive stage, Forcing them to say something, IT Games session and more!

Our full programme will be available towards the end of September and remember attendance is free and includes coffee break and prize draw!

The British Council Bilbao invites you to attend our third annual ELT conference. Once again, we will be setting sail with a group of teachers of English on a voyage of discovery and renewal.
Sessions throughout the day reflect a wide range of teaching situations and approaches, from Synthetic Phonics and CLIL, to Reading, Juggling and Pecha Kucha.
There will be a prize draw, publishers’ stands, a Swap Shop and morning coffee, as well as an attendance certificate for participants.

Reception to welcome the new teachers to the Ministry of Education/British Council Bilingual Project
Venue: Palacete, Pº General Martínez Campos 31, Madrid

This is an annual event that the British Council holds to welcome the new teachers who will be working as part of the Ministry of Education/British Council Bilingual Project. During that week these teachers will be attending an induction course at the ITE (Instituto de Técnicas Educativas, Ministerio de Educación) in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, to receive some guidelines on their new role.
