POETRY SPACE

DO YOU ENJOY READING POETRY IN ENGLISH?

Would you like to take part in a new poetry discussion group in Bilbao?

Have a look at details of our recent poetry event.

WHAT IS IT?

Poetry Space is a new reader group in Bilbao for contemporary British poetry organised by the British Council. The group will meet once a month to discuss the poems with other members and the facilitator.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?

Poetry Space sessions will be held monthly on Tuesday evenings from 19.15 – 20.45 at the British Council, Lehendakari Aguirre 2, Deusto. In April we are pleased to have the visit of two British poets who will participate in our usual discussion as well as introducing their own writings.

WHO IS IT AVAILABLE TO?

Poetry Space is open to all, although a minimum level equivalent to post First Certificate in English (FCE) is required as discussions are conducted entirely in English. Places are limited, with a maximum of 15 participants. Participation in the group is free, but members are required to purchase the a set book (title to be confirmed).

HOW DO I JOIN?

If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Martin Stanley at martin.stanley@britishcouncil.es

We also offer READER GROUPS, the groups are open to all adults who enjoy reading and like talking about it. It is not necessary to be a British Council student to join a group. If you're interested, have a look here.
