FAQs - Grants and how to spend them
When do I find out how much I have been awarded?
Within three months of the deadline, you will receive the result of your application by email. If you have been successful, this email will also confirm how much you have been awarded.
Will I be awarded what I asked for?
The grant that we offer you may be less than you expected. This is usually because you proposed to spend some of the funds on costs which are not allowed in the funding rules for the Action.
When will I receive my grant agreement?
You will receive this within one month of the results. Please note that the grant agreement is a legal document. When your Legal Representative signs the grant agreement, they are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the agreement, so if there is anything that you do not understand, please see Part C of the 2012 Youth in Action programme guide or contact your Project Officer.
When will I receive my first payment or pre-financing?
If your grant agreements have been checked and two copies signed by your named Legal Representative, we will pay your pre-financing within 45 days of us signing your grant agreement.
What can I spend the Youth in Action grant on?
When your application is approved, you receive a breakdown of the grant you have been awarded. You must ensure that you follow this when spending your grant since we won’t be able to award more than was granted in each category, or more than the overall budget. You must also follow the funding rules which are annexed to your grant agreement (Annex III) which explain what monies can be spent on. For more guidance, contact your Project Officer for more advice.
