HOW IS THE TEST MARKED?

IELTS measures your ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. You will receive a Band Score between one and nine, You can find a description of the Test Band Scores here. The Band Score shows your overall result across the four components of the exam. There are no fixed pass marks in IELTS, because the institution requiring the test decides which band mark you need.

RE-EVALUATION OF RESULTS

If you are not satisfied with your results, you have the option of applying for a re-evaluation of your test. This process is called Enquiry on Results. This service costsGBP 60. Should your score improve as a result of this re-evaluation, this amount will be refunded to you.

To make use of this service please download the Enquiry on Results Form. Please complete the form and return it to us along with your original Test Report Form and proof that you have paid the fee within 6 weeks of your test day.
