Cancellation of the Course

Once you have paid for a course you may only cancel if we receive a written request under the following conditions:

BEFORE THE COURSE STARTS: you will receive a full refund minus an administration fee of 30 EURO
DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF THE COURSE: you will receive a full refund minus an administration fee of 60 EURO and minus the price of the lessons already taught.
AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS: we regret that we are not able to offer credits for cancellations due to changes in work or study schedule or trips abroad after the end of the 2nd week of the course. If your request is supported by a doctor's note that you are unfit to continue to attend the rest of the course: you will receive a refund equal to the value of the remainder of the course minus an administration fee of 60 EURO only. No refunds are provided after the first half of any course.

Alterations of the Course Programme
There are no classes held on public holidays. Make-up lessons are included within the term programme. Should there be an insufficient number of students by the start of a course, the British Council reserves the right to cancel the course. On cancellation of the course, the full course fee will be refunded.

Transfer Policy
Students are allowed to change their class within the first two weeks of the course on agreement with their teacher.

Children’s safety
The British Council is not responsible for young learner’s prior to the scheduled start time or after the end of their class. The responsibility for the safety and well being of the child lies with the parent for the journey to and from the British Council and this includes leaving the building on their own. If you expect to be delayed collecting a child, please call our Customer Services Centre on 02/5443 1074 so that we can pass a message to your child.
