The Business Language Testing Service - BULATS is a language assessment service designed for companies and organisations which need a reliable way of testing the language ability of their of employees or trainees. These tests take place in the premises of the client and can also be used for recruitment purposes.

BULATS offers four types of tests, which are independent and can be used on their own or in combination with the other tests to suit the individual testing needs of each client.

All candidates take the same test, irrespective of their English language knowledge. The computer-based version self-adjusts the difficulty of each question based on the candidate’s answer and so makes taking the test a more pleasurable experience for the test taker.

Results from the computer-based test are immediate. For other versions of the tests, they take up to two weeks. The actual result represents a score which can easily be interpreted in the work context using the international benchmarking standard ALTE.
