The UK is currently the leading provider of TNE programmes in Singapore. There are more than 900 UK programmes ranging from pre-university courses to undergraduate, postgraduate and professional qualifications offered here in Singapore. The qualifications you’ll need will depend on the course you want to study. Some qualifications (such as A-levels, O-levels and other pre university programmes) are below university level and lead directly onto higher education while others (such as polytechnic diplomas), are tertiary-level qualifications that may enable you to join a degree course in the second or third year.
For a postgraduate course, you'll need to hold an undergraduate degree. You'll be expected to have obtained at least a good 2:1 (or international equivalent) in a directly related subject and you'll also need to possess a level of proficiency in English of at least IELTS 6.5.
The extensive range of UK qualifications on offer gives you a huge amount of flexibility in terms of the route you could choose to gain your qualification. You can enrol on a twinning course, credit transfer programme or full time study amongst others. In many cases, you have the option to complete your UK qualification either in the UK or Singapore.
You have the choice to pursue a range of programmes starting from pre university courses such as A-levels, Higher National Diplomas, undergraduate, postgraduate and professional qualifications. The flexibility of the programmes allows you to transfer to a wide range of universities subject admission criteria being met. Whatever, wherever and however you choose to study the choice is up to you!
You'll get great value for money from a UK education no matter where you choose to study. The course fees can vary between institutions. You can find more details on the course fees from the individual local institutions’ offices or their websites.
Of course, you’re not just paying for the lectures and practicals which you’ll attend: you may also have access to college libraries and/or resources online, computer facilities, science and practical laboratories, as well as workshops equipped with the latest equipment provided by local institutions; all of which add value to your course. And that’s before you even start to take into account the value of the experience you’ll gain from studying in the modern, progressive and multicultural environment. It's a unique experience that you couldn't put a price on.

To enrol for a UK programme in Singapore you should apply directly to the institution which offers the course. Contact the institution and request for a prospectus/course information and an application form. There is no standard closing date for applications as this depends very much on the commencement date of the programme. If you are a non-Singaporean you will need to leave yourself enough time to apply for a student visa, make travel arrangements and arrange accommodation.
In making a decision, the institution will consider your academic background, work experience, interests and abilities and will treat your application on its individual merits.
