Internships Programme in the UK Orange lozenge left
Strenghtening the capacity of the Serbian public administration

Our 'Internships Programme in the UK' is funded by the British Embassy and implemented in co-operation with the Serbian European Integration Office. The programme is taking place in the period from September 2012 to January 2013.

Deadline for submission of applications is 21 September 2012 and here you can download the Application Form.

The programme envisages internships for maximum six public administration employees in duration of six or four weeks during November and December in UK institutions, for members of subgroups of the Expert Group for preparation and negotiations on the accession of the Republic of Serbia to the EU. Candidates will be selected, during month of September, on a basis of relevance of their positions and knowledge of English language.

The Programme aims at strenghtening the capacity of the Serbian public administration for the process of negotiation and accession to the EU. The Programme wishes to continue the good practice of the Speak European project, funded by the European Union, which included 29 internships for civil and public servants and employees of local self-governments in institutions of the UK, Belgium, Italy, Ireland and The Netherlands.

The Speak European project identified a group of civil and public servants who demonstrated the most interest in european processes and initiative for applying the acquired knowledge gained in European institutions in their home institutions in Serbia.

With the aim of further strenghtening their capacities, the British Embassy is funding the training known as „Action Learning Sets“. In cooperation with the Serbian European Integration Office we are organising the training throughout October and November 2012. The first day of traning is scheduled for 2 October.

Closing feedback meeting which is mandatory for all interns and trainees is planned for 25 January 2013.
