BalkanBeat is a regional music event designed to serve the needs of the professional music sector in South East Europe. Through a series of panel sessions, presentations and case studies BalkanBeat tried to address the needs of the music sector in the region.
BalkanBeat aims to serve two primary purposes:
education: a way to transfer skills, knowledge and best practice from longer established areas of the global music industry; to provide an overview of the current state of play, and to look at new developments and how things may develop in the future |
communication: to bring together practitioners from South East Europe with experts from elsewhere in the world, and to improve networking within the region itself |
BalkanBeat is part of the British Council’s Creative Collaboration programme and is coordinated by Cultural Front and Toby Brundin.
