This year, British Council and Belgrade Design Week welcomed some of the most eminent minds of creative industries from the UK. Also, BDW has once more showcased the student exhibition of projects created during the ‘Access to All’ elective MA course at the Faculty of Architecture.
Participants of the BDW 2009 conference had the honour to meet the representatives of the major British creative agencies and design publications. Some of them are:
Grafik Magazine is an independently published, monthly graphic design magazine serving the international design community. BDW welcomed Angharad Lewis, director of Grafik Ltd. and Richard Bucht.
Poke London is a creative company from London that focuses on web design. Their portfolio includes websites for some of the leading names in the business world: Topshop, BBC Top Speed, J. Lindeberg, Alexander McQueen, Jamie Oliver, Rimmel, etc. Nicolas Roope, CEO of Poke spoke at the BDW 2009 conference.
Wallpaper is a leading international magazine focusing on travel, design, entertainment, fashion, and media, published in over 70 countries around the globe. BDW welcomed Tony Chambers, the editor of this famous magazine.
Airside is a creative agency working across the disciplines of graphic design, illustration, digital, interactive and moving image. Airside’s unique approach has won many awards including recognition from D&AD, Bafta and Design Week. BDW conference participants met with Fred Deakin and Natalie Hunter from Airside.
D&AD is an educational charity that represents the global creative, design and advertising communities. D&AD has set industry standards, educated and inspired the next generation. Laura Woodroffe, Director of Education and Professional Development had a lecture during BDW 2009.
