VISUALISE SCIENCE
Entertainment meets education or ... when science takes to the stage

30 November 2007
Dusko Radovic Theatre, Belgrade
Performers: Science Made Simple

‘Visualise’ performance by the UK Company Science Made Simple is a high impact visual show which combines live science experiments with graphics and music to create a word-less and awe-inspiring experience of science. Visualise is the second part of the Beautiful Science project which ultimately seeks to inspire young people to consider a career in science and encourage young scientists to communicate with the wider public, in a comprehensive, inspired and interactive way. Visualise opened the first festival of science in Serbia organised by Noc Muzeja from 30 November until 2 December.

Visualise - the beauty of science is a truly engaging spectacle, an experiment that began by removing all verbal explanation from science made simple’s award-winning interactive presentations. Physical theatre, live demonstrations, projected images and music combine to create a wordless experience of wonder. There is no trickery. It’s live. Ordinary objects are used in extraordinary ways, to create swirling whirlwinds, giant smoke rings and dancing flames. The lack of language means that the show is suitable for all ages. A playful mix of interactive experiment and mischievous fun. The audience are invited to make their own observations and discoveries, igniting their curiosity and ultimately motivating them to find out for themselves how the world works.
