Welcome to our Helpdesk page where we will provide detailed information about your current membership options and provide assistance along the way.

Transfer of library services
We are transferring our library services to the libraries in Novi Sad and Nis. You can continue using British Council resources in these libraries along with the complimentary one year membership that will enable to use the resources of those libraries as well. If you choose this option, we will notify the library of your choice and transfer your membership.

The members who do not want to transfer their membership will get a refund under the condition they return all loaned items up to 19 April 2008. Refund policy including the dates, refund amounts and other information is available for download.

As of 19 April 2008, we will not provide library services in Belgrade.

Can I use the library up to 19 April 2008?
Of course, you can continue using our library up to 19 April 2008. You can become a member or renew your membership by choosing a membership package:

Standard membership – Din 1,350 (valid up to 19 April 2008)
Student membership – Din 1,100 (valid up to 19 April 2008)
E-membership – Din 600 (valid up to 19 April 2008)

These packages are effective as of 1 December 2007 and are not eligible for a refund.

What happens with my current membership after 19 April 2008?
You are kindly asked to return all loaned items up to 28 March 2008 in order to qualify for your refund. You can find detailed information about this at our Refund Policy page.

Can I keep the loaned items if I don’t want the refund?
No, we are kindly asking you to return the loaned items even if you do not want the refund. By returning the items you will enable more resources for people who will be using them Nis and Novi Sad libraries.

British Council Serbia reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against those members who do not return the loaned items.

What is the last date I can loan items?
Books and DVDs will be available for loan up to 28 March 2008. All loaned items are to be returned up to 19 April 2008.

What about the fines?
Fines will not be applicable as of 28 March 2008

New working hours
Library working hours will be changed on 1 January 2008:

Monday – closed
Tuesday – Friday 13:00-18:00
Saturday 10:00-15:00

International book loan
International book loan service will not be provided as of 1 December 2007.
