In the current English language teaching market, individual teachers of the English language who do not work for any of the private language schools, do their fair share of work with their students, improving their English language skills and preparing them for various exams or milestones in their education.

That is why we would like to acknowledge this hard work and introduce a new reward scheme for individual teachers of English – our Top Teacher reward programme.

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Top Teacher programme is designed specifically for English language teachers who are not teaching in private language schools (for language schools we have our Addvantage partner programme). Top Teacher is for you if you are a teacher in a primary or a secondary school or if you are simply holding English lessons privately but aren’t affiliated to any of the private language schools.  

Becoming a Top Teacher programme member entitles you to numerous advantages and offers, on annual basis some great rewards depending on your level of activity during the year.

Being a Top Teacher will definitely distinguish you from the rest of your peers and will offer you great opportunities for professional development, expert advice and support from the British Council team of experts.

HOW DOES TOP TEACHER WORK?

For each candidate you register in 2013 calendar year, for Cambridge ESOL (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, TKT, BEC, ILEC and ICFE) and IELTS exams through the British Council you earn 1 point.

The total number of points earned in 2013 entitles you to one of four levels of membership. Each level has its own associated benefits for you to enjoy at the end of the year. The number of points for each level of membership is as follows:

WHAT BENEFITS DOES TOP TEACHER PROGRAMME PROVIDE IN?

Everyone that joins our top teacher loyalty programme will receive a British Council Top Teacher membership certificate as well as a welcome pack containing top teacher promotional materials.
