This September, we had a series of professional development seminars for teachers in four Serbian towns, Cacak, Nis, Novi Sad and Belgrade.

Teaching Speaking to B2 level – learning outcomes and approaches – within a Cambridge Learning Framework. Plenary and Workshop Plenary focused on the practical issues in focusing and managing classroom speaking tasks effectively. Following on from the plenary, the workshop encouraged participants to reflect on the range of potential speaking focuses that are appropriate to students of different levels and to explore ways of more effectively managing classroom speaking tasks
Teaching Writing to B2 level – learning outcomes and approaches – within a Cambridge Learning Framework. Plenary and Workshop Plenary focused on the process-oriented and product-oriented guided writing activities in classroom writing task cycles.Following on from the earlier plenary, participants had the opportunity to evaluate different types of writing task in terms of their appropriacy for different levels of student and to assess the qualitative impact they may have on student writing performance.
Bob Obee was formerly Director of Studies of the British Council Teaching Centres in Athens and Kuala Lumpur. He currently works as the Professional Support Leader for Cambridge ESOL examinations in Greece, Cyprus and Romania. He has written numerous courses, ESOL examination and teacher resource ELT publications.
