Professional Development – Looking back and looking forward to IT
Sunday, 27 November 2011
09.30 - 16.00
British Council, Terazije 8/2

This seminar was composed of four workshops united under the topic of Professional Development and the role of Information Technologies in it.

The first, entitled Teacher Development – So far, looks at participants’ experiences. They were asked to define the stage of professional development they were in and share how they plan their CPD.
The second workshop (Online CPD) talked about free opportunities for teachers’ PD, such as British Council Online Courses.
The third workshop drew from Marija’s experience at the Learning Technology Course and encouraged participants to Evaluate and Select Websites, both the ones for their own learning and those that can help their students.
Finally, there is Teacher Development – So good, which will be beneficial to all teachers experiencing burnout. “What goes around, comes around” is the motto of this workshop.

About the Presenters
Energetic, dynamic, communicative, with positive attitude, Jasmina and Marija share enthusiasm about their profession and are working hard to spread the spark. This is Jasmina’s first Teacher’s seminar as a presenter, but she is natural, whereas Marija has the presenting virus ever since British Council's YETI programme. They both work in secondary schools but have experience with teaching young learners as well. They believe in sharing and are both active in ELTA.
