Andrew Senior
Head of Creative Industries, British Council

In April 1999, Andrew joined the British Council and immediately took over responsibility for developing the British Council’s work with the creative industries. This initially focused on trade promotion work and he and his team have, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment, taken creative industries delegations to over twenty priority markets.

Over the past three years, Andrew’s work has increasingly focused on presenting the UK experience of the creative industries agenda in countries as diverse as Colombia, Lithuania, Denmark and Korea.

Andrew has lectured on the creative industries and spoken at conferences in Europe and the Far East. He travels extensively, working with colleagues across the world to develop opportunities for the UK’s creative sector to work in partnership with their international contemporaries
