Transatlantic Network 2020
APPLYING TO BE A TN2020 MEMBER

Following the program's launch in March of 2008, the Transatlantic Network 2020's Inaugural Summit will take place in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland from 28 September - 4 October 2008. The 30 founding members will return for the Inaugural Summit, along with 70 new members for a total of 100. We are currently seeking the 70 new members.

A two pronged process will encompass both noimnations from existing participants and an open application process:

1) Current participants have been asked to submit three nominations.

Each nomination will be either:

specific individuals who will contribute to wide-ranging Network discussion and the development of TN2020 projects
people from particular backgrounds or professions who they would like to see part of the Network, but are not presently connected with.

Roughly 30 of these nominations will result in invitations to join the network and participate in the inaugural summit.

2) An open application here on the TN2020 website is available so that interested people of all backgrounds who fit the criteria will be able to apply to be part of TN2020.

Please submit your application electronically to isabella.pallone@britishcouncil.org by 25 July. Roughly 40 of those who apply will be invited to join the network and participate in the inaugural summit.

Please see our applicant guidelines for more information on selection criteria and expectations of membership.
