This course is aimed at teachers and pupils from local authorities involved in the Confucius classroom hubs
The immersion course allows groups of students and teachers to take part in a two-week intensive course in China, enabling both linguistic and cultural immersion.
The course is jointly organised by the British Council, Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS), with funding from the Scottish Government through LTS, and Hanban in China, the Office of Chinese Language Council International.
Participants on the 2009 Chinese language immersion course will be drawn from the 14 Local Authorities involved in the 8 Confucius Classroom Hubs, in order to further promote the Confucius Classroom Hub initiative.
Please contact Aileen Spence at Learning and Teaching Scotland for further information on the 2009 immersion course – a.spence@LTScotland.org.uk
This competition is supported by the HSBC Global Education Programme and organised by the British Council to support and promote the teaching of Chinese as a modern foreign language in UK schools.
