British Council Scotland are pleased to support the Scottish Government and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council post doctoral funding initiative aimed at stimulating and strengthening academic and research links between Scotland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The scheme is running for a second consecutive year.
The aim of this initiative, which is managed by the British Council, is to foster academic links between Scotland and Hong Kong, enabling experienced researchers to conduct cutting edge research in each other's country.
Up to 10 awards are available in the 2013/14 financial year for experienced researchers who are employed in either a Scottish University or research institution or a Hong Kong University Grants Commitee (UCG)- funded institution. The awards will be divided equally between researchers based in Hong Kong and Scotland.
Applications are welcome from the following research areas:
- Renewable and new energies
- Healthcare and life sciences
- Sustainable development
- Economics and finance
