Seòladh chun nan Garbh Eileach, le séideadh foghair
anull an gad eileanaibh. Ceann amach thar nan tonn,
tha seillean a suidhe air slat-bheòil na gheata.
Ruadh-dhonn is stiallach, solaraich’ air faondradh

a’ siubhal nar còmhlan, gabhail tàmh gus neart a thional.
Far an gabh an caolas seòladh, tha cala dhuinn far a bheil
geò fhasgach agus còs feurach. Ceum no dha eile ’s
tha sinn ag òl bho ’n tobar miorbhaileach de dh’uisge mealach

le shanas de chobhar sàil. Na ceallan beachlannach mun cuairt
nan cròthan cloiche, leac thar leac, currac mar mhullach.
Bheir e leud an eilein sgoraich gu léir aon bhoinne
meala a leigeil. Ràinig Breandán air sròin na curraich,

thàinig e air sgiath chun an t-sochair mholaich seo
son na cìre-meala òraich a lorg, céir-sheillein mar stiùir
