Taylor became an environmentalist when she was 13 years old. Her interests have been on renewable energy and energy efficiency policies between the US and China. Taylor is currently pursuing a career in energy efficiency as a researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Environmental Energy Technologies Division. Her research area focuses on evaluating energy policy, analysing the cost of conserved energy and assessing potential financial benefits of energy efficiency standards and labelling programs throughout the world. Her work has also focused on database management and development, learning rate analysis, and market development forecasting. As part of the Department of Energy’s National appliances efficiency regulations, this work provides guidance for policymakers for crafting of a greener and more sustainable future. Taylor is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley where she majored in Environmental Science and minored in Energy and Resources Group and where she was engaged in diverse activities related to energy and sustainability.
