Matias Kalwill - Motivations & Expectations

Motivation to Participate in the British Council Rio Delegation

My motivation is to be part of a strong international network of colleagues and likeminded entrepreneurs that will maximize each other's experience at Rio. We will be introducing our first international project, for the first time. It's a long-term project that at the moment presents a timeframe of 8 years. I expect to find the most relevant actors in our area, as well as the contacts and opportunities that will allow us to develop this project in the coming years.

Expectations for Rio+20

Sadly enough I do not hold high expectations for the political agreements that will come from the summit. I do however believe it will be a historic moment for all sectors of society to come together and lay the ground for the work in the coming decades. That's why my objective in Rio will be the introduction of Bikestorming, our contribution to promoting bicycles as the main form of transportation in cities by the year 2030. I expect to build the network that will allow us to develop this project in the years to come.
