Graham May

Country of Origin: Canada
Age: 20
Areas of expertise: environmental education
Mild-mannered University student by day, crusading Environmental Educator by night, Graham May hails from the temperate rainforests of British Columbia. He has a passion for youth empowerment, conservation, and everything outdoors. He is a British Council Climate Champion, Global Changemaker, and co-founder of the Eco-Pledge Program I-Commit. This educational project went on to inundate over 15,000 unsuspecting students in five countries with a love of the environment. This summer, Graham is leading a group of university students on a bike ride across Canada, leading youth activism workshops in rural communities and raising money for youth-led environmental initiatives. His only stop is to head southward with the British Council Rio+20 delegation!
Graham currently lives at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, where he studies International Relations and Environmental Studies, and leads the fight store-to-store to ban plastic bags from the community. Most importantly, Graham loves to sing, read, sail, and salsa, though usually not all at the same time.
