Where you want to go
Who you want to link with and why the department is a centre of excellence in your field
Who else is involved and will they also be applying
When you want to go, between December 2008 and December 2009
What you want to do there and how ambitious or achievable it is
Why it should be you that is given the award
Why this research is important and how it meets national research priorities in both your country and your potential research partner's country
Why the research and the link is innovative, novel and timely
What is the complementary nature of the two departments involved in the link?
How the link will benefit the UK department's standing in the research field
How your visit will help build international connections
How the link will be sustained after the end of the award
How your visit will help you in your career development
The budget details for travel, subsistence and consumable equipment
A programme for the visit(s) and an activity plan for the year if applicable
A research summary in Plain English. This is a statement for a non-specialist audience about your research link that could be used in publicity. The statement should be no more than 300 words
