22 events were supported as part of the 2007-08 INYS programme. All the events were either run by the British Council in partnership with UK and local research organisations or were given grants to develop future collaboration workshops. The events ran a wide range of subjects including, climate modelling, stem cells, drug prescribing, nanomechanical sensors, sustainable energy, high performance computing , the biology of cancer and infection and immunity.

The events linked young researchers from the UK with colleagues representing over 20 different countries, including, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Croatia, Denmark, India, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Tanzania, and Thailand.
