Since May 2006 the British Council is running ZeroCarbonCity programme looking at the impact of climate change around the world and demonstrating the UK’s commitment to tackling this global issue and to developing a low carbon economy. The intensive programme will include a remarkable photo exhibition, a provocative public debate with UK and Russian speakers, Café Scientifique discussion evenings, and many other public events designed to make society wake up to the global issue of climate change.

The participants of the seminar will be provided useful tips for the implementation of Climate Change materials in class activities.
Online debate on climate change issues OpenDemocracy, a global website of politics and culture based in London is launching a major international debate on the politics of climate change, sponsored by the British Council. 21 April - 10 June you can take part in the debate on the openDemocracy website.
