On 22 February Ian Pearson MP, UK Minister of State for Trade and Investment, gave a speech at the ZeroCarbonCity exhibition in Moscow. He stressed that 'Britain wants to work with Russia to achieve global energy security and sustainability'. See press-release and full text of speech
ZEROCARBONCITY in Moscow
The British Council’s Climate Change campaign

In February 2006 Moscow has become the third Russian city to host our ZeroCarbonCity programme looking at the impact of climate change around the world and demonstrating the UK’s commitment to tackling this global issue and to developing a low carbon economy.

The extensive programme of events will include a remarkable photo exhibition, a provocative public debate with UK and Russian speakers, Café Scientifique discussion evenings, and many other public events designed to make society wake up to the global issue of climate change.

ONLINE COMPETITION
Our online competition is over. Many thanks to everyone who participated! The lucky draw among those who answered correctly all questions will be held on 4 March 2006. The names of the winners will be published on our website.
