The selection process involves short-listing and interviewing.

All candidates must conform to the following requirements:

• Have a good level first degree from a recognised Russian university
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the area of the chosen career
• Be a Russian citizen living in Russia and intending to return to Russia after study in the UK
• Have a track record of achievement and excellence
• Have a clear idea how the scholarship will benefit Russia afterwards
• Have excellent English language skills (to be confirmed at the later stage by an IELTS certificate – not less than 6.5 points out of 9 – or analogue)
