British Council Russia
Internationalising Higher Education
We work with government bodies and policy makers, university leaders, academics and students in Russia and the UK to support international aspects of higher education by providing UK expertise, encouraging policy dialogue, fostering international collaboration and partnerships.
Global Policy Dialogues

The Global Policy Dialogue strand helps to build up cultural relations through IHE. This is being delivered through a series of global, regional, national and community dialogues and by means of think tanks, round table discussions, etc.

A major event within this strand is the prestigious international conference Going Global, annually organised by the British Council in different countries.

Global Partnerships

The strand will support the internationalisation of higher education through a new generation partnership model between governments, universities and industry in Russia, the UK and other countries. They will be multilateral partnerships that bring together universities, policy makers and business - bridging the gap between the public and private sectors.

Students and Alumni

The strand aims to promote student mobility – encouraging UK Universities and students to include international mobility to Russia as part of their academic programmes, as well as encouraging international students’ mobility to the UK.

The strand also aims to scale up our current Alumni activities, and to build a global network of International Alumni.
