Scholarship and study opportunities at the University of Nottingham in China

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was opened by the University of Nottingham in 2004. The University of Nottingham is ranked in 9th in the UK, whilst it was recently ranked 72nd in the world(QS World Rankings 2012). The University is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, just a two hour drive from Shanghai. The city is one of the wealthiest and developed in China and has the second largest port in the world. There are over 6 million people in Ningbo, whilst it has a 7,000 year old history.

  • All programmes at the University of Nottingham in China are taught entirely in English with the same teaching and evaluation as the campus in Nottingham UK
  • Students are awarded a University of Nottingham, UK degree
  • On-campus accommodation is guaranteed
  • The University currently has 34 Russian students and seeks to increase this number for 2013 entry

SCHOLARSHIPS

The University is delighted to be able to announce that it has a range of scholarships on offer for students from Russia applying for 2013 entry. These are as follows:

Bachelors

Ningbo Govt Scholarship for Academic Excellence (all courses)
25-30 scholarships of 20,000 CNY/ $3,200 (25% off the first year’s tuition fee)
Minimum GPA of 4.2 out of 5 (or equivalent) required

2+2 scholarships

The following programmes allow students to spend the last two years in the UK. Guaranteed scholarships of 2,000 GBP are provided for both year three and four when UK fees are paid:

Birmingham City University

Birmingham City University is a British university which delivers vocational orientated and professional associated specialist courses. It was established in 1843 as the Birmingham College of Art. The University is organised into six faculties and are composed of numerous schools and departments.

University of Exeter

University of Exeter is a top UK university which combines world leading research with very high levels of student satisfaction. It is one of the UK’s most popular and successful universities with campuses in Exeter, Devon, and near Falmouth in Cornwall. Ј10,000 will be awarded to up to seven of the most talented International students who have had an application accepted  to one of The Business School MSc programmes.  

  • Applicants must be resident in one of the following countries:  Hong-Kong, India, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey or Vietnam to be considered for these awards.
  • The Scholarships are competitive and require you to have an English language level of IELTS 7.5 or equivalent
  • Applicants should submit an application form with a 1500 word essay on what you consider to be "The Most Challenging Aspects of Today's Global Business Environment."

Applicants for The  World Class International Scholarship will automatically be considered for The Thomson Reuters Scholarships if applying to one of our Finance programmes including the MSc Accounting and Finance.

All scholarship awards are conditional on payment of the tuition deposit as specified in your offer letter and registration with the University of Exeter. (Scholarships are not awarded in conjunction with other scholarships – in the event of you being eligible for more than one award the greater award will be given)
