On 1-11 November 2012 there will be a 13th New British Film Festival, organized by the British Council Russia and CoolConnections art association together with partners. The festival will take place in Formula Kino Gorizont cinema hall in Moscow.
The New British Film Festival, which is an annual event, taking place for the 13th time in Russia, introduces the latest British films to the Russian audience. The festival program of this year includes such films as Great Expectations by Mike Newell – a new interpretation of the famous novel by Charles Dickens, Strawberry fields by Frances Lea, inspired by T. Williams’ play A Streetcar Named Desire, Black Pond starring a BAFTA nominee Chris Langham. Apart from that there will be an adventurous thriller Comes a Bright Day by Simon Aboud, Wild Bill by Dexter Fletcher, Broken by Rufus Norris starring Tim Roth etc. In the framework of the festival 18 new British films will be presented in Russia for the first time.
On the 1st November 2012 the New British Film Festival will be opened by the film Shadow Dancer presented by its director James Marsh.
