ESRC/Scottish Government Collaborative PhD Studentship 2009 (1+3 or +3) Scientific Citizenship and Public Engagement Applications are invited for an ESRC Doctoral studentship funded by the ESRC in collaboration with the Scottish Government, entitled, Forms of Engagement and the role of Science/Public Intermediaries in developing Scientific Citizenship in Scotland. The thesis will examine attempts to promote scientific citizenship and public engagement with science in Scotland. Closing date is 17 June.
Climate Change North West 29 April, 19 May and 8 July Manchester Development Education Project, in partnership with the Science Learning Centre North West and Manchester Metropolitan University, are offering an exciting new CPD course on climate change as a part of the Northwest Climate Change Action Plan. British Science Association - Science Communication Conference 22 - 23 June 2009 at Kings Place, central London The British Science Association is working in partnership with the Wellcome Trust to organise the 2009 Conference. BP and the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills are also providing support. Each year this conference brings together people who are involved in public engagement and is a fantastic opportunity to network, share ideas and good practice. The central focus this year is 'Behaviour and Choice' and booking closes on 12 June.
