Please note, the deadline for this year's RXP applications has now closed.

In addition to your completed application form, you will need to supply the following supporting documents:

A statement of support from the head of the Department of the sending institution, where you are based.
A letter of invitation from the Head of the Department from the receiving institution, where the visit will take place.
A completed CV using the template provided, including references to no more than five recent papers.

The statement of support from the two Heads of Department should include the following:

Comments on the individual applicant and their distinction in their field.
Why is the new link important for the department
How will the link help in pursuing the department's research goals.
How will the link be sustained.

The application form and supporting documents should be sent to the British Council as either PDF or Word documents. All application documents should be submitted electronically.

The invitation and supporting statements should be submitted on institutional letter headed paper. These should be scanned and also submitted electronically.

If you are applying for a Darwin RXP award please ensure you mark the relevant box on the application.

All application forms and supporting documents should be submitted before deadline to science@britishcouncil.org

All application forms and supporting documents should be submitted in English.

In exceptional circumstances and where it is not possible to submit your application by e-mail, we will accept a posted paper application . All documents required for application must be submitted in the same envelope and received before deadline.
