Great Brits - Ingenious Therapies

The five young UK-based designers chosen to exhibit at the Milan Furniture Fair have announced the new designs that they will launch as part of Great Brits: Ingenious Therapies, The British Council and the Design Museum exhibition taking place at Paul Smith’s European headquarters in Milan from 18-23 April 2007.

Eelko Moorer: In the Jungle Groove is a site specific installation that exploits the anthropological and psychological as the user precariously and perilously swings through the vines to the maze of suspended objects, choosing their movements with care so as not to fall. For Moorer, the structure offers an antidote to the white cube formula of a gallery or modish domestic environment, while the objects themselves playfully exaggerate our notions of domesticity.
