BritTeen Adventure Summer Camps

Would you like to offer your children an unforgettable experience this summer holiday? What if they could practise their English while having loads of fun and developing practical skills?

British Council invites children from grades V-VIII (graduated in June 2013) to experience the BritTeen Adventure camps this summer, which are scheduled for the following periods:

23 – 28 June
21 – 26 July
25 – 30 August

Registration and fees

Registrations for the BritTeen Adventure summer camps will start on Tuesday, 28 May, and will end 5 days before the starting date of each camp (on 18 June, 16 July, respectively 20 August).

You can register for the camps during British Council’s Customer Services working hours, as follows:

Tuesday – Friday between 12.00 – 19.30
Saturday between 09.00 – 13.30

Before enrolling, all new members are invited to schedule an admission interview during the registration period by contacting us at 021 307 96 00 (Monday – Friday, 9.00 – 17.00) or contact@britishcouncil.ro. Interviews are held at the British Council, from Monday to Friday, between 10.00 and 17.00.

After the interview, please fill in the registration form and either send it by email (scanned version), if paying by bank transfer, or come to our office in Calea Dorobantilor 14 with the printed version.

The registration fee for one BritTeen Adventure Summer Camp is:

Registations before 8 June Registrations after 8 June
1100 lei for a child 1200 lei for a child
1050 lei per child for siblings 1150 lei per child for siblings

The fee can be paid in installments following this scheme:

a 25% advance of the fee is required to book a place for the camp
with maximum 2 weeks prior to the camp, you can pay the rest of the amount in 1 or 2 installments (the sums will be decided by you)
if you do not pay the full registration fee with maximum 2 weeks prior to the camp, your seat will not be kept and the refund policy applies (see the registration form)

Please write your name on the ordin de plata field and BritTeen Adventure Camp in the reprezentand field, then send us the proof of payment and the filled out registration form by e-mail, at contact@britishcouncil.ro.

Workshops and accommodation

This summer, the BritTeen Adventure summer camps will include the following workshops:

Thus, the BritTeen Adventure camps will merge practising English through skill-focused activities with hands-on fun, adventure and trivia games. Your children will develop their language and social skills through practical workshops, as well as enjoy the impressive natural surroundings through hiking trips, treasure hunts and many more interactive activities.

For each camp there are 22 places available, and accommodation will be provided at the three-star pension Floarea Soarelui in Cheia resort, in rooms for 2 or 3 children with en-suite bathroom and balcony. The rooms are equipped with central heating, TV, telephone, hair dryer and the facilities available include internet access, radio and a restaurant.

In the morning of the departure, you will have to bring a standard medical certificate for camps from the child's doctor. The transport is provided by the British Council and is included in the fee. There will be 3 meals and 2 snacks provided daily, also covered by the registration fee.

About the BritTeen Club

The BritTeen club is a non-formal education programme for children and teenagers that aims to develop their skills and passions through themed workshops.

By joining the BritTeen club, young students get the opportunity to further develop their skills in areas like creativity, knowledge or self-development, while also improving their social and English language skills through conversation.

All the trainers involved in the BritTeen club activities are selected in accordance with British Council's professional standards.
